Hey Zoe! Welcome to Bad Girlz Write! Congratulations on your new release. We’re always excited to
share a mimosa with a fellow member of Carolina Romance Writer. Unless you’re more of a Bloody
I’ll take that mimosa….cheers! It’s great to be here. Thank you for inviting me.
I predict you’re going to get this question a lot, but I have to ask… What got you started on Egypt? What
inspired you to turn your love of Egypt into a novel?
I’ve always gravitated towards Egypt and archaeology, but I never discovered a romance novel
that successfully made it accessible and modern. The story and the Scimitar magi came to me as a
way to bridge that divide. I wasn’t interested in having a story take place in Egypt, but to bring that
mythology into our life as it is now.
Were you a longtime Romance Reader/Fan before writing your own? What are some of your favorite
Yes, I’ve read every genre of romance for a long time. Some of my all-time fav’s are: Son of the
Morning by Linda Howard, Lover Mine by J.R. Ward, Mirror Image by Sandra Brown, and The Scarlet
Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy.
One of my favorite parts of your book was the Magi team. Will each Magus get their own book? If so,
who is next to fight evil and find their soul mate?
Absolutely. The next story is on its way. We will get to meet a magus who’s been around a lot
longer than even Ashor, but he got lost for a while.
Thank you so much for joining the Bad Girlz here on our blog, Zoe! Good luck to you and congratulations
on your book. Can’t wait to read your future titles!
